Teaching people to read and to write in English
is a passion of mine, I really love it! I am currently involved as a tutor in a volunteer Adult Literacy program in South San Francisco for 1 year now, and I absolutely enjoy working One-On-One with my students in their home, or in locations of their choosing where they are most comfortable. I am very flexible with my schedule, I am extremely patient, and I can accommodate evening or daytime learners. It is true that I am fairly new to the tutoring field, but I bring excellent verbal, written, and computer
communication skills with me. I am a life long native of California where I have lived with my loving wife of 31 years, and in that time, we have raised our two beautiful daughters to become vibrant members of the community! I speak English fluently, and I have a firm grasp of English idioms and terminology that people use everyday. I love teaching, and with a motivated student I know there is nothing we can not achieve! I enjoy giving my students the full benefit of my skills when the student is active and engaged. I believe it is never too late to learn to read or write and become a full member of our engaged society. I also encourage my students to communicate with me via e-mail and I will answer lesson related questions anytime at no additional charge usually within 24 hours if not sooner.
I can meet students in their home, or in settings of their choosing such as a Library or Coffee Shop as long as the setting is a suitable learning environment.
I Hope to become more established as a tutor in the future, I invite and encourage you to call me for any of your learning needs in the San Francisco, or North Peninsula area.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to serve you in my own way, with a subject that I love!
Thanks for considering me as a possible tutor, it would be my honor to help you in any way that I can!

We learn through our senses, some are more visual, some learn more by listening. In school we are bombarded daily with endless seminars, videos, list of things that we have to memorize, that we tend to forget the much overlooked tactile senses. Tactile learning
(The art of writing) down the things that we need to memorize is a great tool that has largely been forgotten in today's busy learning...
