I’ve spent the last seven years mentoring teenagers and middle school aged children in the Bay area by providing academic training, social activities for peer support, and emotionally regulating support strategies in order to enhance academic success and overall confidence in each person. Over the last four years I’ve tutored and worked closely with children who have special needs and have extensive knowledge in providing appropriate teaching methods, sensory support, and emotional regulation for children with a variety of needs.

I’m currently employed as a para-educator for the Piedmont school district and am a confident educator capable of relating real world information to replace abstract concepts for those who need logical application. I have access to all information that elementary school children need, and have many direct resources to aid in each child's academic advancement.

I hold a special education teaching credential from Saint Mary's and have been in a teaching position for 2 years.

I would like to tutor a fourth grade child on reading comprehension.

I am a fourth grade paraeducator and have access to all necessary material for elementary aged children. I grade papers, pull children out for individual help, and assist in every aspect of the classroom.

Phonics

I have my background in Speech-Language Pathology which held several classes regarding phonetics and sound structure.

I've spent the last 3 years working with young children who have a variety of disabilities and taught them various education based activities including reading; writing, composition, and math.

Study Skills

I am special education teacher for an elementary school and will be in a resource position next year teaching children social and study skills. I've spent the last few years teaching middle and college aged students study skills for academic success.

Special Needs

I have worked as a volunteer with the special needs community over the last 10 years and have been involving in education for that population for 5 years.

I've taught children with dyslexia, ADHD, autism, Down's, and a plethora of other diagnosis. I am a very capable educator and tutor for all adolescents.

ADD/ADHD

I've spent time working in a clinic for children with a plethora of diagnosis' in Walnut Creek beginning in 2007-11.

I assisted children on their homework ranging from English, Math, and an assortment of other subjects. I currently work in a school district with children on the autistic spectrum who are presented with ADHD tendencies.

I have extensive knowledge in children with special needs and an ability to help train, organize, and teach them to understand difficult material...

Autism

I hold a special education credential with autism authorization, as required by the state of California by 2015. I've also taught an autism specific special day class for the last year.

Dyslexia

I hold a special education mild/mod credential from Saint Mary's College of California and have been teaching special ed. for 2 years. I'm CLAD and autism certified and capable of teaching students with IEP's.
