I was born Deaf and have used sign language all my life. I have used ASL interpreters since the 5th grade, in various workplaces and throughout pharmacy school. My experience working with interpreters from a client's perspective is a plus for ASL interpreting students. I have had hands on experience during the Deaf President Now protest at Gallaudet University and a 100% immersed experience in Deaf Culture while at Gallaudet where I got my B.A. degree. I have a lifetime experience teaching and tutoring ASL both in informal and formal settings.
I walked through online credited courses, ASL I and II, with a student last year. I tutor students from high schools and colleges. I teach ASL classes to families with special need children.
I can teach younger children and families privately if desired. I might be available to tutor Deaf/Hard of Hearing children in various subjects. I have children in school and I help them with their homework daily.
I am a a very patient and passionate teacher. Anyone who knows me can verify that.
I can tutor you via internet or in person.

Note: I will be teaching at the College of Marin in Spring of 2014 and cannot tutor my own students.
