I am a single mother and full-time student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science. (Two more years, yay!) My approach to tutoring is using the Zone of Proximal Development by assessing the current level of knoweledge and working our way up. Many students easily become overwhelmed and lost when the level of material is above their understanding and this method works at the student's level and gradually brings them to where they need to be. I work part-time (10hrs/week) at a local college as a tutor in Algebra, Geometry and Chemistry. I am very enthusiastic about my students and take great pride in helping them achieve their academic success! Geometry

I have tutored in Geometry at the college level for over a year and received an A in a college level course.

Prealgebra

I have tutored in Algebra at the college level for over a year and have received an A in the three college Algebra courses I have taken.

Anatomy

I worked in the medical field for over seven years as a Certified Medical Assistant and also received a B in college level Anatomy course.

Microbiology

Received an A in a college level microbiology course.

Trumpet

Played trumpet for over 7 years in concert band and jazz band. Auditioned and selected for the Central Oklahoma Director's Association all region band.

Anthropology

Have taken and received an A in college level Physical Anthropology, Archaeology and general Anthropology.
