I am a graduate of Loyola of New Orleans' Music Therapy program and as such have had experience with a number of instruments. My primary instruments are flute and oboe, which I have played for fourteen and ten years, respectively. In college I learned guitar, piano and voice, and so have been playing those for six years. Having to learn so many instruments has taught me how hard it can be, and I try to make it as fun and interesting as possible.
After college, my music therapy internship has allowed me the chance to teach music to young children, but I enjoy working with all ages and levels. I am also comfortable working with small groups or individuals. While under my instruction, the student will learn how to read sheet music (and for guitar students, tabs and chords), proper fingerings, and general music theory. Additionally, I would be happy to help any student make adjustments to their oboe reeds. Price is negotiable for special circumstances.
