I am an accomplished physicist who's always been passionate about teaching. I have done research and taught at Stanford University, The University of Michigan, and The University of British Columbia.
I have always tutored in my spare time, because I absolutely love to see the excitement in the eyes of students (and parents!) when they see how easy things are becoming and how well they can now perform on tests.
I started tutoring physics, mathematics, and chemistry at all levels 20 years ago, and even when busy with research and teaching. I've tutored all these years because changing the lives of students is what I love to do most and what I do best.
The youngest kids I tutor are usually in 8th grade, and I tutor any math, physics, or chemistry course all the way up to and including graduate school. I also have a LOT of experience preparing students for standardized tests such as ACT, SAT, and GRE.
Results speak for themselves -- I have been able to guarantee results to everyone I have tutored. In other words, students (or parents) do NOT pay if they don't see the significant improvement I guarantee. I have never had a student or parent that wasn't thrilled with the results.
I can deliver these results in math, physics, and chemistry because I:
(1) Have deep knowledge of the subject matter
(2) Have tutored long enough to know every type of student
difficulties/misconceptions and how to fix them on the spot
(3) Observe students and listen to them intently in order to understand what
is needed to produce great results
(4) Patience...lots of patience with kids and adults alike
I really enjoy working with students of ALL ages. Contact me and allow me the privilege of changing your academic career!
