Hi my name is Sachin. I have been a tutor for more than 7 years now and work with ages (9-18). I am currently tutoring a student in music but in the past have taught Statistics, Spanish, Government, English as a 2nd Language, Public Speaking, and Algebra.
I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis where I encountered advanced courses in History, Business, Politics, Spanish, Statistics, Economics, and Energy Policy. I am currently taking MBA-level courses at Wharton. I have intermediate proficiency in Spanish meaning I can carry on a conversation and write in an academic setting. Please check out my profile to see all the subjects I am proficient in teaching. There is surely a wide variety!
The way I approach my students is to first set long-term goals and identify strengths and weaknesses. From there we set more short-term goals and focus on improving scores and study habits. My personal goal is to get the student to a point where they can tackle difficult study matter on their own just by utilizing resources at hand. This requires study discipline and learning how to solve problems efficiently.
I am a patient person and very approachable. First and foremost, I aim to create an honest relationship with my student and environment where mistakes can be made but required to be learned from. In the past this method has increased student confidence in going with their instincts. Once a student easily recognizes mistakes, they become better at recognizing the right path.
If you have any questions about my experience, style, or interests please reach out to me.
