While my goals in life have been to work in the video production field, I have found myself in the teaching and education field several times. I have taught the young, from about 11yrs of age, to seniors. One thing that I hear repeatedly is that I am very patient. I necessary skill that I think allows my students to feel comfortable, and confident. I think I do well in explaining things in a very simple to understand way, and I break lessons down so to not overwhelm the student.
With teaching vidoegraphy and editing, I think repetition helps, so that skills and task become second nature. This is a process that can vary in speed for each student, but I think benefits most. This involves a more hands on approach rather than a theory based approach. I like to give students real world situations rather than abstract hypothetical situations.
