I have been working with kids raging from pre-school to eighth grade for the past ten years. I had also worked in food service for most of those years and the last 3 years have been working as a teacher’s aid. I have had experience for the past 3 years working with emotionally disturbed students, special education, students with learning disabilities, and special day class students. I am familiar with the computer programs such as Read 180 and JiJi Math programs. I have also worked in the front offices of different schools in the Moreland School district, taking care of attendance, sick kids, answering phone calls, and dealing with parents and their needs.
I am currently enrolled at West Valley College working on my A.S. degree. My major is in Administration of Justice. I take only 2 classes per semester so my time is open. I will be taking some early childhood education classes in the 2013 school year. My goal has always been to work in law enforcement possibly getting in to juvenile services. I have always enjoyed working with kids, so I have hopes to stay on track getting a fulfilling career in doing so.
