Friendly tutor in various subjects for 1st graders through HS

I have worked with elementary school children, and I enjoy helping students one-on-one with math. I have a degree in Social Studies Education. I am certified to teach grades 6 through 12. I am a substitute teacher with two local Christian schools at the elementary and junior high levels.

In addition to math and social studies classes, I am also good with editing English/Language Arts papers. Also, my mom grew up a missionary kid and was fluent in Spanish. She helped me learn to love it. I am not bilingual, but I can also help with early levels of Spanish.

American History

While in high school, I scored a 5 (on a scale of 1-5) on my AP US History Test. It's my favorite subject, and I would love to help others learn to feel the same.

Spanish

I took three years of Spanish in high school and 3 college courses as well. My mom is a local Spanish teacher and helped me learn to love the language. It seems to come to me pretty naturally.

Geography

Geography is way too important in the world we live in today to just be glazed over.

Elementary Math

While working in an elementary school, I got the opportunity to help 4th and 5th grade students work through classwork and correct homework one-on-one.

Elementary (K-6th)

I have worked with Kindergarten through 5th grade students for over a year now. My degree in is 6th through 12th grade Social Studies, but I enjoy helping younger students get ahead in basics that will carry them for years to come. I find that I can help in math especially, but also writing and study habits. I am a substitute teacher in an elementary school currently.

Study Skills

After having successfully taken 3 AP classes in high school, and graduating Summa Cum Laude from college recently, I know how important study skills are to the rest of school.
