Hello! My name is Teresa. I have taught for 26 years with a multiple subject credential. I have also taught science for most of these years. I love to help children in need of extra help. Children who need extra help come dear to my heart because one of my children has needed tutoring since elementary school. I believe in hands-on activities using manipulatives as a way of reaching child's different modalities. Academic instruction should be challenging, relevant, and definitely engaging to the child. As an educator, I feel it is important to prepare, teach, lead and inspire my students. I can lead your child to value their individuality by listening to what they have to say without judging. I will inspire them to do their best work, therefore taking pride in what they have accomplished. Feeling positive self-worth is one of the keys to being a successful and confident student in today's world. I am a firm believer in communicating with parents as a key to building a positive and successful relationship for the benefit of the student. I am open to conferences, e-mails, and notes as forms of relaying pertinent information regarding your child's progress.
