I'm a recent Stanford grad with a lot of tutoring/teaching experience. I have worked with students from 3rd grade in an after school program on up to the level of my college peers. I was even a certified tutor at my former community college before I transferred to Stanford.
Not only do I have experience tutoring in several areas of math (algebra, trig, intro-stats, calculus *including multi-variable*, ODE's, etc.) and science (physics, chemistry and biology), but I also know how to teach good study skills and instill confidence in my tutees.
I also know how to prep for the SAT and ACT tests. I don't have formal training in these areas, but I studied my way into a higher SAT and was able to raise my own scores on my SATs by over 100 points in each subject. I did this by learning how to take the tests properly. I know the tricks to standardized testing is learning how to take the tests. It generally has less to do with your mastery of the subject.
