I just taught high school students for two semesters. My internship was at Saratoga High School. This is one of the top-rated schools in the nation. My experience includes teaching Geography (9th), World History (10th), and U.S. History (11th). This earned my permanent teaching credential from San Jose State University. I received high-marks for my PACT Teaching Event. This went together with top-marks on my CSET Subject Matter Content Test.
Before this, I worked for two years as a substitute teacher at Valley Christian School and the King's Academy. I expanded my experience by working for two years in public districts --- including Santa Clara Unified. Now, I work for the Los Gatos-Saratoga Joint Union High School District.
I work best with high school students and have a fully accredited Bachelor of Science with two majors. One of these is history. My awards include the highest given to a graduating senior for "historical research and writing" and I was inducted into the nationally recognized "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities."
I enjoy working as an individual tutor. First, I review the teacher's curriculum. Then, I assess a student's strengths and weaknesses. From there, we can chart a plan for success. My goal is not to become a crutch. Instead, I hope to become a catalyst. I help students where they need it. Eventually, their greatest weaknesses become strengths. That is my goal. Together, we will ensure your student succeeds and exceeds expectations. Please, feel free to contact me. And thank you for reviewing my profile.
