I have a BA in Music. I studied viola, piano, and conducting. I learned basic cello technique as part of my major, and can assist any student with fingering and bowing issues. I work as a coach and accompanist for all musicians, and can teach musicianship and theory at all levels, and how to work with an accompanist.
I have a BA in Music, and am a professional musician. I've composed music for bands, orchestras, and various small groups; and incidental music for plays. I can teach you Formal and informal compositional techniques. Formal instruction includes melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic structures, chording, counterpoint, and form. Informal techniques for pop styles include leadsheet writing, chording, and notation. I can also teach arranging techniques, as that is a large part of my professional life.
My grandmother started teaching me to cook when I was 7. Since then, I've learned a variety of ethnic and health-conscious styles. I now cook for my father, who is diabetic and sodium-intolerant. I can show you how to read a recipe, and how to modify it for your own tastes and needs. I can teach you how to shop effectively, plan meals, and store foods properly. I place a lot of emphasis on basics, use of tools, and health issues.
I have a BA in Music, and am a professional musician. Part of my job is to accompany singers, who don't always have sheet music with them, and I have to improvise for them. I can show you the skills I have acquired since I started playing piano at the age of 4. I can teach basic through advanced listening skills: melodies, intervals, chords, form. I can also teach you how to sing or play by ear, how to read a fake book, and how to write out what you hear.
I'm a professional musician with degrees in Music and Electronics. As such, I work a lot around multiple learning techniques. I also spend a lot of my workday taking students back to the most basic of academic and study skills. We fill in skills that they somehow missed, and now cannot function well at their expected levels without these skills. At that point I can teach them performing arts. I've learned that many students simply miss some critical element in school, and then spend years unable to catch up. I work at uncovering the missed element, and then helping students to stop fearing the subjects that have frustrated them.
My degrees are in Music and Electronics, but I took a lot of math classes, and got interested enough in logic to take a course in inductive logic. I can work with you on inductive and deductive reasoning, and we can discuss the history of logic, from Plato to the present. We can work on Boolean mathematics, and use puzzles and literary examples to see how logic applies to us.
I've been playing piano since I was 4, and have a BA in Music. I can teach and coach all levels of piano technique. I can teach musicianship, theory, history, and practice techniques. I can give you the opportunity to experience chamber music, and the opportunity to explore all styles of keyboard music, from pre-classical to modern pop. I can teach you sight reading skills, and how to sing and play simultaneously.
I use QuickBooks to run my own business. I can show you how QuickBooks is structured, and how to create a business account. I can help you understand the terms, and how to create and work a transaction from start to finish.
I've always loved to read. I still have the first book that was truly mine, when I was 4. I learned to read using phonics, and I think that's a terrific way to learn. I've studied several foreign languages and music, and make my living in part by sight-reading piano music. I know about learning with the entire body, and can help others learn by this means.

We can review the mechanics of vocal production, with emphasis on forming muscle memory to aid in finding the right pitch. I also emphasize understanding compositional styles to aid in reading.
Most of my experience is teaching beginning vocal techniques, mostly to high-school students. I teach basic diction, breathing, and pitch control. I teach pronunciation and accent control for English, French, German, Italian, and Russian.
As a speech tutor, I can offer the same type of instruction. I can help you understand how your body works to produce speech sounds, how to listen to yourself, and how to practice speech patterns to make them feel natural.
I have two college degrees, and have learned a number of skills, from computer applications to locksmithing, via self-study courses. I've also taught myself even more skills without any formal guidance. And as a professional musician, I learn new materials daily. I can teach deconstruction methods, goal-setting, analysis, and research skills. I have experience working with students to find their optimal study conditions, from environment to time of day and length of study period.
I can assist with practice of basic strokes, with emphasis on good form and rhythm. I can show you drownproofing skills and breathing exercises. I used to be an emergency medical technician, so I can teach basic rescue and first aid techniques.
