I have been singing, drawing, and writing all my life it would seem. Being a jack of many trades made it difficult to choose which one of my passions I would follow when I got to college. Eventually, singing won the race and I am currently finishing up my BM in Vocal Performance at San Jose State University.
That hasn't stopped me, however, from privately working on my art and my writing. I could easily help you brush up on your writing skills if you need help with the basics (ideal for kids) or I could get into more advanced lessons in the field of drawing (and a bit of painting). I've been drawing longer then I have been singing and have a STRONG grasp of the concepts needed to create beautiful pieces of artwork. If you wish to see examples of my work you need only ask. I've taken pretty much every college art class I could because I do love it all, so very much!
As far as singing goes, I have been performing for over 10 years. I am just as happy on a musical theater stage as I am on an operatic one. Choral music is my biggest love, but that is kind of hard to teach to one student. I CAN, however, teach the different styles needed to be the most marketable singer you could possibly be. Helping you strengthen your voice is my goal and within that, helping you learn how to use your voice to it's fullest is my passion. As a singer you need to know how and when to let your unique voice shine and, depending on your goals, how to pull back to be in unity with other voices around you. The more you can do the better your chances of getting hired or just getting that part in the school musical you REALLY want!
Hope to hear from you!
