I hold a California Teaching certificate for teaching mathematics. I also tutor students in other subjects such as English, biology, geography, and most elementary school subjects. I tutor children of all ages. My approach to tutoring is to learn the child's personality and personal learning methods. I use this knowledge to focus on ways the child can optimally learn the materials. I focus not only on the academic content, but I also help them child to understand the connection to real life for the materials they are learning. Hands-on materials are used, visual materials are used, and I use plenty of patience and respect with each of my clients. My goal is to learn how a child learns and teach them in a way which works for that student.
