I am a French citizen and French native speaker; I grew up in France and lived in France and Belgium, where French is one of the official languages. I am fluent enough in English to discuss with parents the student's progress and behavior, and the class content. I have also taught French to children and adults in France and have been teaching French to kids, teens (From beginners to French AP, French at college level), and adults since my arrival in the United States, more than three years ago. I am dedicated to people's development, respectful of difference between people in terms of personality, capability, priority and expectations. I graduated in Psychology and Education Sciences and have studied Linguistics for a year at Faculté de Lettres Modernes in Bordeaux, where I passed the competitive examination to enroll as Speech Therapy school (Rank 8 out of 500 students). I am told that I am a challenging, inspiring and open-minded person, and I truly enjoy teaching. References can be obtained upon request.
My schedule is almost full with some availabilities on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you need further information.

Here is what a student of mine wrote me at the end of last school year:
"Dear Cécile,
I want to thank you for all of your help these last two years with French. I know that I could never had felt as confident with French if it wasn't for your help. I took my AP test yesterday, and I believe it went very well. That being said, I do not have any more work to do regarding french, and I no longer need your help. I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for all of your hard work and I wish you and your family all the best in the future.
Thank you so much again!
Merci
Katie H."
