Experienced High School Math and Science Tutor

I have been tutoring high school math and science for 10 years. I have taught at a local high school for 8+ years. I have taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Earth Science, Biology, Biology Honors, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology. I am a patient person and I try to understand each student's needs and what they will need to be most successful. I understand the importance of truly teaching the material so that the student will be able to apply the knowledge to new, unique problems that are common to exams and quizzes.

Algebra 1

I have taught Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 in high school for several years in addition to successfully tutoring in Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 for 10 years. I am a clear communicator and a patient teacher.

Biology

I have a Masters degree in Biological Sciences as well as undergraduate degrees the related fields of exercise physiology and psychology with an emphasis in biology. I have also taught high school Biology or Biology Honors for 9 years as well as tutoring in Biology, Biology Honors and AP Biology.

Chemistry

I have taught chemistry at the high school level for 3 years. Including but not limited to chemical reactions and equations, stoichiometry, limiting reactants, chemical formulas, Lewis dot structures, electron configurations and nuclear chemistry.

Geometry

I have tutored geometry for the last 10 years.

Physical Science

I have taught Earth and General Science for 4 years at the high school level, as well as teaching Biology for 8 years, Chemistry for 3 years and Physics for 5 years.
