Hello future students,
I'm Annie and I come from Belgium. This is a small country but is a neighbor country which speaks French and Dutch as their official languages. So, I will be more than happy to teach you basic French (grammar, vocabulary ... ) in a way that you will learn and enjoy.
I'm a lawyer and I come to California because of my American husband. My husband is one of my hardest students, as he is old and his brain is not that sharp, but he does now speak a minimum amount of French and is getting better and better in listening. The best way to learn is to practice it as much as you can, and as a French speaker I will correct you more and explain to you why.
During my high school experience, I did take the time to teach some foreign students who came to study French. They didn't understand the basics. We took time, and after I explained to them the basics at their tempo, they did understand better and were able to take their tests and pass their exams to get in the university of their choice.
I also help my brothers and sister who weren't good in French but experts in math. They just didn't like the subject matter. I would help by introducing activities, and they found that French is not that complicated (yes, there are a lot of rules and exceptions) and it's a fantastic language to learn and to speak. They didn't appreciate what I did at the time, but now they are still saying, "Thank you for helping me with my French, sister!"
It wasn't that difficult at all to help them because I liked it. So, I believe we can do a lot of things just by being motivated. My English is fairly good and I think we can do it!
A bientot, j'espere.
