I have been teaching Mandarin for four years in many settings such as a Kindergarten in Beijing, a Confucius Classroom in Thailand, tutoring, and a K-12 Private school in US. My teaching experience has afforded me the opportunity to assume various responsibilities at multiple levels. The class that I've been taking also included adolescents, healing education, handwork, clay modeling, reading and math, etc.
During the time that I worked in kindergartens and lower grades, I've learned how to observe children, how to take time to know who they were, and then helped them go gain strength to become better human beings with passion and joy. During the time that I worked in high school, I enjoyed bringing cultural experiences and promoting a global perspective to my students by using thoughtful questions and creating an equal environment of communication. At the same time, I offered a lots of time for them to practice their language skills.
