Hi, my name is David and I am a recent graduate from UCLA with a Bachelors of Science in Psychobiology. As part of the requirements for my major, I have recent academic coursework in biological sciences, chemistry, physical sciences, psychology, and mathematics. Additionally, I scored in the 97 percentile on my dental admissions test (DAT), which covers the following subjects: biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, quantitative reasoning (math), reading comprehension, and perceptual ability.
In regards to my tutoring experience, I have worked with Los Angeles middle school students in science and math during college. During college, I also tutored my cousins in elementary school and high school. In addition, I have had the opportunity during high school to lead group study sessions in preparation for the Statistics and Calculus AB Advanced Placement tests. Furthermore, I have taken test prep courses through various companies, which has allowed me to become more familiar with the course outlines and formats of the SAT I and II, as well as the important strategies and approaches for performing well. In terms of my performance on the SAT, I scored in the 99th percentile.
Aside from academics, I enjoy participating competitively in various sports such as Basketball, Tennis, and Triathlons, and playing the piano and guitar. I would like to continue working with the youth population and help them build confidence to achieve their goals, both academically and socially.
