I am an undergraduate of UC Davis, with the major of Computer Engineering. I am currently employed at a startup company and have a good amount of experience in the programming area. I have worked with people from other companies, other veterans of the field, and believe that I am able to impart my knowledge of certain industry standards to my students.
My hobbies back in college includes playing several different types of chess online, such as Chinese chess (xiangqi), Japanese chess (shougi), and Go (weiqi). As a result of this hobby, I was able to teach numerous people of different ages and backgrounds, and learn what works and does not work. As a result of this, I realize that the same teaching method will not work for everyone and that the most efficient method is to tailor each lesson to the student's personality.
I have experience in teaching people math and programming languages such as Java and C++. If need be, I can expand on other higher level concepts as well.
Thanks for your time,
