My name is Daniel A. and I live in the Bay Area. To tell you about myself, I graduated from Northwestern University in 2009 with a degree in engineering at Northwestern University. After school, I spent two years doing strategy consulting for Accenture in Chicago. I know work at Google in Mountain View, helping with strategy and operations for our newest products.
It's been some time since I tutored, but I'm looking to get back in the game. In high school, I tutored AP chemistry, which I got a 5 in. While I don't have lots of tutoring experience, I do have 99th percentile scores in standardized math tests. I got an 800 in Math SAT, 35 in Math ACT and perfect score on the Math GMAT. I love math and taking standardized math tests.
I find when preparing for standardized tests, the best approach is to do (lots and lots of) practice problems. My style when tutoring is to work together to break down a problem and understand the core concepts being tested. Once we understand this, we can identify weaknesses and gaps in our understanding and be sure to learn the right concepts so we are prepared for any question thrown our way.
It's recommended that students provide test prep books to work through (my favorite is Manhattan GMAT books), though I'm happy to recommend or provide the books for a fee.
