I am a high school graduate from Mission San Jose High School. I graduated with a GPA of 3.8 weighted (4.16 weighted). The math courses I have taken are Geometry, Algebra 1 and 2, PreCalculus, and AP Statistics. The science courses I have taken are Integrated Science, Biology, and Chemistry. Of all these courses I passed all with A's and B's. I also have three younger siblings, all of whom with their schoolwork at one point. In high school, I was on the gymnastics team for all four years, and also on the cheer-leading team for two years. Doing these sports have made me very outgoing and social. In addition, I love art,I took AP Studio Art my senior year, and also was accepted into art school with a scholarship. The college I will be attending this coming Fall is San Francisco State University. My major is undeclared with an interest in Apparel Design.
In the past, because I have taught to my siblings, I know how children learn. My method is to first find out whether a child is a visual learner (which most of the time they are). I use pictures and simplify lessons as most as I can. I try to incorporate songs and games to help them remember the material, so they are not too pressured. I also, I am patient when a child does not understand the material, because sometimes there can be too much information for them to handle. I am quick to figure out a child's learning pace, and also try to use a reward system so that there is incentive to learn.
