I am a graduate student at San Francisco State University pursuing a Masters degree in Physics. I am able to tutor students taking introductory level classes in physics, astronomy, and math. I have taught physics and astronomy for several years, and I am familiar with the curriculum at SFSU. I understand that these courses can be very difficult, and I strive to instill a strong fundamental understanding of the material in my students. I also like to work with children who are just beginning to learn algebra, geometry, and physics, because I feel that early mentorship can help kids learn to master and actually enjoy these subjects. I am available for homework help, exam preparation, and standardized test preparation. I am a very patient person, and I am dedicated to helping my students succeed.

Algebra 1

Algebra can be a lot of fun once you get the hang of it! One way to get comfortable with algebra is to build a connection between algebraic equations and the graphs that they describe. One of my specialties as an algebra tutor is my ability to help students build confidence in their math abilities and realize that they can master this subject.

Astronomy

Astronomy is my passion. For many students, astronomy is a surprisingly difficult subject. Introductory astronomy classes are fast-paced, and the concepts are deeply rooted in physics. Don't let this intimidate you, because astronomy is a truly fascinating subject! If you need some extra help mastering astronomy, I am interested in working with you!

SAT Math

Success on the SAT Math test requires a mix of subject knowledge and test-taking tricks. I can teach you both! I have taught SAT Math intensives for high school students, and I have a great track record at raising my students' scores, usually by more than 100 points.

How do I receive a discount?

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
