Greetings!
My name is Erik, a recent Columbia University graduate who is passionate about teaching and learning. I'm currently living in San Francisco, though I work at Stanford University where I manage a neuroscience lab that does research on interpersonal emotion processes like empathy and prosocial decision making. I'm interested in getting a PhD in Clinical Psychology in two years' time, so this is a great place for me to be.
I graduated from Columbia with a BA in Psychology and a GPA of 4.05 (A+ grades earn you above a 4.0). Following this phenomenal educational experience, I am excited about the opportunity to help others to learn and succeed in their own lives. I am a patient, dedicated and thorough tutor, making sure that students understand the material and are on their way to reaching their fullest potentials.
I have proficiency in a number of areas including language arts (spelling, grammar, proofreading, literature, reading, writing and philosophy), sciences (psychology, anatomy, chemistry, physics and biology) and general test prep (SAT, ACT, GRE Psychology). I also have experience teaching ballroom dance, salsa and tango, as I was a competitive ballroom dancer for 6 years.
If you have any further questions about my experiences, credentials, methods or philosophy, please just let me know!
All the best,
Erik
