I graduated with a Bachelors in Anthropology, which developed my writing skills. I have experience working with children but mainly working in the corporate environment. I have lived abroad and helped friends with there with their English. I have great knowledge in English and computer programs. I live in San Francisco and I am able to travel around the Bay Area to meet with students. I am currently working on becoming an ESL teacher here and abroad. The student’s success is a reflection on the tutor so I take my work very seriously, but I also enjoy having fun while tutoring as well.
English is a universal language that is used all over the world so I understand the demand for many people to learn the language. I can cater the lesson to match the student's learning style and I am comfortable in working with all ages and different cultures. I like to get creative with my learning styles to keep the students interested in the subject. I feel that creativity helps engage the student in the subject, which enhances what they absorb each session.
I will have a different curriculum for each student based upon their command of the language and specific needs of the students. Since most people work at a different pace I will go at the pace for each individual. I can assist with grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and even computer programs, work etiquette and American culture.
