We hired Peter for a few sessions during late October/early November to assist my daughter with her reading and math skills. She is not the easiest child to work with - she is on the autism spectrum and diagnosed with ADHD as well which means she had close to zero focus for any academic work. Even after disclosing this information upfront to Peter, he did not seem daunted by the task at hand. His first day was him trying to figure out where she was in terms of her reading skills - they managed to read one of her books through - slowly, but surely, and with much repetition of words. At no times did he raise his voice or lose his patience with her. With much redirection, he was able to accomplish this task.

The next session was focused on her adding skills - trying to have her rote add simple math was difficult thanks to her lack of focus, but again with much repetition, they were able to go through a page of problems. Her teacher at school had begun to teach her a new way to do math and had just taught us the basic skills for simple match. Again, we saw his patience with her even when she started to drift off onto other topics.

We instructed Peter on the use of this concept and he used this technique in his next session which he was pleased to see worked well with her. If Peter is able to work with her, he will be able to work with any child as he is one of the most patient people I've ever met.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
