Hi! My name is Madison. I teach International adult ESL learners, and also teach Korean to Korean-American students. I received a BA in English and a Master's degree in TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages). I believe that language can be learned very effective and efficient ways from a well-qualified and experienced teacher with a TESOL background.

I enjoy excellent rapport with my students (and their parents), and find the work very rewarding. I believe this is because of my great effort on behalf of each student and attentive to my students' needs.

My teaching philosophy is based on several key aspects of teaching: acknowledging the intelligence, dignity, and prior knowledge of each student, mutual respect of each other and the teacher, and using practical, everyday life as an important “textbook.”

I have been a Korean instructor at the from Aug. 2009 to Jan. 2011, I was a Korean instructor at San Francisco Korean School. We developed the curriculum and educational projects, as well as prepared events and advertising.

For my job, I teach Korean as a Second Language to high school and college students at a Korean school in San Francisco since January of 2011.

ESL/ESOL

I graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in English and a MA in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). I taught at a private language institute for more than 5 years, and my students were far wide range of nationalities, ages, and circumstances. I have used many teaching methods and techniques I learned through the MATESOL program, and how the best teachers tailor their methods to individual learning needs and strengths.
