I have been a city planner, social research consultant and computer programmer. I have been programming in MS Access since 1993 and using PHP with SQL Server for about 6 years. I have taught courses in graduate school and in work locations in a variety of subjects, and have managed Federal projects that ran training seminars.
My current employment is with the Cordoba Corporation, where I created a database for the Regional Transit Commission Discount Card Program (RTC-DCP) originally in Access 2, updated to Access 2003 in 2002 and in use by 14 Transit Agencies around the SF Bay Area. I currently perform technical support and training for the many users of this database.
I recently took early retirement after 12 years as the Senior Analyst/Programmer at the U.S. Court of Appeals, 9th Circuit in San Francisco. I created and maintained dozens of databases for every unit of the court, some that used MS Access as the back end and some that used Sql Server. I also maintained a database for employee leave with MySql as the back end.
For 11 years, 1978-1989, I served as the Director of Information Services, E. H. White and Company, Inc., in San Francisco where I managed many projects involving data collection, data entry, data analysis and reporting. I also created, maintained and trained users on data entry programs written in a variety of systems (e.g., dBase, zbasic).
I have a BS in Engineering from Arizona State University and an Masters of City Planning (MCP) from the University of California, Berkeley.
