Did you know that different subjects studied in school use different parts of your brain? For instance learning a language requires the use of the left hemisphere of your brain while painting requires the right. Do you want to exercise your right or left brain? If so, you have come to the right place. With over 5 years of non-formal teaching experience with a diverse population of youth ranging from ages 4-18 from both East and West coasts I am certain that I can provide the extra support and confidence boost for you son to improve in your desired subject area(s). I have experience teaching art, music, environmental science, recreation, reading, writing, and working with youth with diverse abilities and needs. My teaching philosophy is client-centered, inquiry based, and semi-structured so that tutoring sessions have a framework which depending on the subject, developmental level of your child, and help needed may include a brief didactic on the given topic/subject, followed by an interactive activity that helps support and reinforce the materials.
