You know how there are some people that just know how to explain things? It's more about their inherent personality than it is their background. There are some really smart people out there with impressive backgrounds, but that doesn't mean they know how to explain things. Zak, fortunately, is someone who can. He explained things to me in a few minutes that I hadn't fully understood after many minutes of instruction from someone else.

He can also his adapt his style to your needs. Though he's been tutoring for a long time and through many iterations of software,and this has of course resulted in some strong opinions about the most efficient way to use the software (and he is most likely right), he still listens to you and how you think about the problem, and adapts accordingly. He watches you try to do it yourself in order to make sure you're really getting it. He checks in with you to make sure his style is working for you.

He's extremely smart but doesn't make you feel stupid. He's equally comfortable on Mac or PC. He responds quickly to questions and seems easy to get ahold of, even evenings or weekends, which is really important to me. He's expensive but worth it, especially if you have short-term needs.

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
