I am a special education teacher with San Francisco Unified School District, where I teach a 3rd-5th grade special day class for students with mild to moderate disabilities. I have been with SFUSD for seven years, and prior to joining this district, I worked for a non-public organization working with children with Autism. I have been tutoring for over 10 years, for a variety of ages and subjects, including phonics, reading comprehension, writing, math through geometry, SAT prep, organization skills, study skills, and motivation. I tend to get to know the student and work with their strengths to help them overcome their weaknesses. Being a special education teacher, I know how to successfully work individually with students and modify work. I am also able to use a variety of techniques and methods if needed.
