In addition to my studies in college (two BAs from Humboldt State University), I have enhanced my knowledge of US History, world history, geography and economics with work and research throughout the USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. I served three years as a part time teacher at St. John Orthodox Academy in San Francisco where I wrote their first College Board approved curriculum for Advanced Placement Class (AP) in US History. I also have tutoring experience in college. In addition to American History, I have extensively studied Asian, European and Islamic histories.

I bring an enthusiasm for my subjects reinforced by experience and independent study which I communicate to each student.

American History

I am knowledgeable in all parts of American History, including geographical background, pre-Columbian America, California history, all Presidents and the Revolution, Manifest Destiny, Civil War, Gilded Age, the Progressive era and especially the 20th Century.

World History

I have studied World History and especially Western Civilization, as well as the basics of Islamic and East Asian histories at high school and college levels (Humboldt State University).

Religion

My credentials on this subject are based on independent study and personal experience. I have informally yet extensively studied most major religions and have read many of the world's scriptures (in English) including the Four Gospels, the Five Books of Moses and several other books of the Bible as well as commentaries.
