I have spent almost twenty years teaching in both Santa Barbara and San Francisco's multicultural, diverse public and catholic school systems. Along with this extensive background of experience, I have maintained my California Multi & Individual K-12 Art & English teaching credential and my Ed. Administrative Credential. My teaching reflects my philosophy that education is a dynamic, motivating, creative, collaborative, competitive, reflective and transforming experience. I feel that the development of the entire student, regardless of race, culture or economic background is achieved by the collaboration of staff, parents and community.

I completed USFs' Educational Administration program along with an internship with Lowell High Schools' principal Paul Chang. I assisted in the administrative and educational leadership of the school as well as in discipline and attendance functions and also redesigned Lowell's' Student Handbook.

I have worked at Tam HS, Gateway Charter HS, Sacred Heart and Archbishop Reardon HS and several elite SF Private Elementary Schools since the year 2000. Prior to this High School teaching experience, I spent several years as a MS & HS teacher in San Francisco's' public schools. I enabled my students to become productive citizens by using the tools of art, language and technology to take charge of their lives, to communicate effectively, creatively and one day to make a significant contribution to society. My expertise in humanities, current arts and educational technology issues is credited to SF States' Multimedia Digital Design Program and representation of SFUSD at CTA and NEA and Apple Conferences. I have also been immersed in the Arts of San Francisco. (Symphony, Opera, Ballet, SFMOMA, The Legion Of Honor, De Young Museum).

Currently, I have expanded my own entrepreneurship, Joie de Vivre Arts/Photography established in 2000 to include photography at major Nonprofit and Tech Events. Last Fall I successfully handled the photography at Clean Tech Expo in San Francisco's Masonic Hall.

I look forward to utilizing my professional experience, education, creative energies, enthusiasm as a tutor.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
