My name is Gregory. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley with a Bachelor's degree in physics.
Physics is a mathematically intensive major and as a result I have very strong algebra, geometry, and calculus skills.
I have been practicing guitar and piano since I was 4, and have studied under Grammy-nominated Jazz pianist -- Mark Little.
I have performed at the Beach Chalet with vibraphonist Jerry Gross, and at the Savannah Jazz Club alongside the legendary "Pee Wee" Ellis.
My philosophy of tutoring is that the student, above all else, must get the credit for their progress -- the tutor does not intercept this credit if it does not come on its own from the student. This allows the student to feel bold when approaching future difficulties. Then the student shall find him/herself clearing away larger and larger difficulties before turning around and asking the tutor for help.
I have tutored/taught as a physics tutor, physics class teacher's assistant, and math tutor for UC Berkeley, San Francisco University High School (SFUHS), and Summerbridge San Francisco.
I have learned to accommodate diverse learning styles, and am confident in my abilities as an educator.
