I am working as an Application/Project Engineer with Siemens Water Technologies. I have a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago and a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Kerala, India. I have always been an active member at my university participating in organizing events and also played an active role in every one of them. This has helped me to work well as part of team also related to my success within the group.
I am always passionate about teaching and working with children. Teaching is not only about motivating students to learn, but teaching them how to learn, and doing so in a manner that is relevant, meaningful, and memorable. Teaching is about caring and understanding, and conveying that passion to everyone, most importantly to your students. I always like to interact with Colleagues, reading sources, consulting with others and being at the leading edge as often as possible.
I worked as a Research Assistant and learned that teaching is not limited to just few working hours but it is thankless hours of grading, spending many hours gathering information, designing or redesigning courses, and preparing materials to further enhance instruction. I feel that teaching is not always following a fixed agenda and being rigid, but being flexible, fluid, experimenting, and having the confidence to react and adjust to changing circumstances. I strongly believe that my work experience and also thorough technical knowledge will help become a good teacher and mentor.
