My love of teaching stems from my life-long love of learning. Despite my own struggles with ADD throughout my life, I was a successful college student, both at the undergraduate and graduate level. Working through my own issues has afforded me the chance to empathize and to find fun, creative ways for others to overcome their own struggles.
During my University level teaching experience, I enjoyed helping students find ways to improve their writing and reading skills which, I found, empowered them to be more confident in their own abilities. I specialize in the Arts and Humanities, and especially enjoy teaching history, social studies, English, writing, and Latin.
After earning a degree in Music (Voice), I graduated cum laude with Phi Beta Kappa from UC Irvine with a BA in the Classics. I achieved PhD candidacy in Anthropology as well as a Master's Degree. I look forward to helping you unlock your own potential.
