I graduated magna cum laude (GPA above 3.7) with a BS in biology/chemistry from The College of New Jersey, a college well-known for its emphasis on developing teaching skills. I received a PhD in biomedical sciences from UCSD, where a major focus of my laboratory experience was training undergraduate students. I have received scores above the 90th percentile on SAT math/verbal, AP subject tests, GRE math/verbal/writing, and GRE biology. I have experience tutoring other students for these standardized tests and undergraduate science classes. I also participated in the Salk Mobile Lab in which I taught biology labs to 7th graders at schools throughout San Diego County. Working with many students over the years I have learned that everyone has a different way of learning that works best for them and I have focused on adapting my teaching accordingly. Studying is something I have always enjoyed and have been rewarded with positive results, and I would like to share that feeling of success with future generations of students.
