My name is Cody, I am a senior enrolled at the University of California Riverside and I am currently working towards a bachelor's degree in computer science. I have always enjoyed Math and its concepts. I, being one to focus and put forth all my efforts to solve a problem placed in front of me, find math quite simple and logical. Throughout my life, I have always excelled in math. Each and every math course I was enrolled in, my resulting grade in the courses were all A’s. I attended Helix Charter High School located in San Diego, California, where I completed and passed both Calculus and the AP tests. Since then, I have continued to take several more math courses in college, ranging from multivariable calculus, to discrete mathematics, and even to differential equations. And yet still I have not received anything lower than a B in these courses.
As well as taking advanced math courses in high school, I served as a teacher’s assistant for a ninth grade algebra class where I helped to tutor many of the students. Since then, I have helped countless students that have requested my assistance, whether they be hall mates in my dorm, or friends from other classes.
As for computer science, so far in college, I have taken a wide range of courses in the CS field. The topics covered range from C++, to assembly code, to embedded systems, to computer architecture, to data structures, and to logic design. I am fluent in C++ and C, assembly language for the LC-3, and I have a decent understanding of the syntax of python. I have made several games and projects using the Instinct graphics package. I've been assisting those around me in their CS courses throughout my 3 years of college.
I guarantee my expertise in Mathematics and computer science will be nothing less than fulfilling to whomever I may be tutoring. I love sharing my knowledge of these topics with others and I can convey concepts thoroughly and precisely for different learning styles.
