I graduated from UCSD last June with a BA in Literature and Writing and a minor in Spanish Literature. I have tutored students in all levels of Spanish. I also remember what it is like to learn Spanish as a non-native speaker, and have a lot of strategies to make my students' work less tedious and their conversation more fluid. I love Spanish, but recognize that not everyone does; I aim to share my enthusiasm without alienating my students.
At UCSD I was a tutor for an undergraduate poetry class. I met weekly with a group of eleven students, gave feedback on their work, and led discussions. I've been tutoring in San Diego for about a year now, and I really enjoy establishing connections with students and watching them grow. There's nothing cooler than bringing someone to their "aha!" moment of the day.
