I have experience in tutoring students to prepare them for their SAT/ACT exams. These students have improved their scores an average of 250-350 points and have been recruited by institutions such as the University of California and Yale.
I also offer tutoring in general subject areas, ranging from the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, etc.), math (Geometry, Algebra I & II, Trigonometry, Precalculus), English (grammar, composition, proofreading, English Literature, American Literature, etc.), history (American, European, AP), and Spanish (language and literature).
I treat my students with the utmost respect and conduct my tutoring sessions so that they feel comfortable asking as many questions as they would like. I feel it is important to work with the student, as someone who genuinely wants to help, as opposed to another bland instructor. My results are based on the student understanding the material well enough so that they feel confident enough to try as well as being comfortable enough to make mistakes and learn from them.
I also maintain an open and honest communication with the parents/guardians about anything they wish to discuss regarding their child's progress. As parents/guardians, you are entitled to know what your child is receiving from each tutoring session to ensure that you and the student are sufficiently satisfied.
I welcome any and all questions about the subjects I would be comfortable tutoring. Expect honesty from me; if I do not feel up to tutoring a particular subject (as it may not be a strong suit of mine), I will say so. I would not want the student to be short-changed on my behalf.
