I am graduate of San Diego State University with a B.S. in Biology with future plans of being a high school Biology teacher. I have had many experiences with biology at a high school level through college level Biology Education classes.
I have a very inquiry based teaching method giving students the opportunity to connect the concepts themselves, while gaining knowledge and interest in the subject. I connect well through current examples bringing the concepts to life, giving the students an understanding topics' importance. I prefer to teach students how to think about and work though problems as opposed to memorizing facts.
I have most of the required qualifications and requirements to becoming a teacher. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I have current negative TB test results. I am a holder of a Substitute Teaching Permit issued through the San Diego Office of Education. I have many letters of recommendation from past teachers, professors, and instructors.
I am passionate about education and look forward to every opportunity to gain experience within an educational setting.
