I am a recent alumna of the University of Southern California, where I graduated summa cum laude with a major in English Literature (with Departmental Honors) and minors in Spanish & Psychology. During my college career, I garnered teaching experience in a variety of capacities as a volunteer teacher in a low-income elementary school and as a tutor for USC student athletes.
I have always had a passion for languages and aim to infuse that same enthusiasm in my students! I especially love to work with students in improving close-reading, analysis, and writing skills, which are applicable to every major and necessary for success at the university level. While most people dread the prospect of beginning an essay, I can make the process less daunting by providing you with the tools to create a strong foundation for your writing. These include developing a coherent thesis, structurally outlining your points of argument, and contributing original and insightful analysis. I can also aide you in the stages of proofreading and work with you to correct grammatical errors, identify logical inconsistencies, and strengthen the persuasiveness and flow of your argument.
I am accustomed to working with students with a wide-range of strengths and personal preferences. By drawing from my varied experience as a tutor, I tailor my teaching style to your needs and ensure that our time together is engaging and productive.
