I am a Special Educator. I have been trained for one-on-one interaction with students and have been in the field for 20 years. My goal is to use the strengths that students have and build upon their weaknesses. I have many methods to help eliminate learning deficiencies and each student is given their personalized plan for success. Learning should lead to dreams hopes, joy and inspiration, not the agony of defeat.

Algebra 1

I am presently teaching Algebra and I have been teaching it for more than twenty years.

Prealgebra

I have been teaching pre Algebra for 20 years.

Reading

I have been teaching reading for many years and I have many methods and innovations such as testing for sensitivity to light and visual learning deficiencies, in which I am certified in the Irlen Method.

GED

I have been teaching GED subjects for 10 years.

ASVAB

I am a veteran of the Armed forces, US Navy. I was an Electronic Technician. Additionally, I am well versed in the math portions of the test. I have been teaching Algebra for many years.

ADD/ADHD

I have a Masters Degree in Special Education and a Multiple subject credential in mild/moderate disabilities (k-12 from National University in San Diego California. I am presently working for the Sweetwater Union High School District, 11 years, as an adult school teacher (with high school students in class making up deficient high school Credits) I have 14 years of public school teaching special needs students that have ADD/ADHD.
