My name is Steven. I currently graduated from Queens College with a bachelor degree in Applied Math. During the time I was in school, I tutored math for college students and for after school program from 1 to 9 grade. As a teacher, I always believe that a teacher is like a leader. If I want my students to improve and to become a good student, I also have to improve myself everyday in teaching and become a good teacher. This is how I get a good bonding with my students and grow with them everyday. Moreover, I always come up with a solid plan along with different teaching methods. The reason why I have many different teaching methods is because I believe each student has their own ability to learn the material. Some methods could apply to this group of students, but it doesn't mean that it will apply to another group of students. Therefore, in the end of every session, I spend out at least 5 to 10 minutes to get evaluate from my students to find out how far they improve in Math and what materials they still struggle on. From that, I will get an idea of what I need to work on to help the students improve. I will also let the parents know about it, so they could follow up with their children. By flexible in teaching method, I hope to bring out the fun in learning. I want my students to enjoy when they learn. I don't want them to feel pressured or stressed out on any subjects because it will make them hate the subject, or scare to improve. The parents of the students trust me. They pay me to teach their children. So it's my responsibility to make their money worth every cents. I want to see the happiness on my students' face when they have a good grade or show improve on their skills. It will really warm my heart since all my efforts and time are paid back. So I would love to hear back from you soon.
