Hello and welcome to my WyzAnt profile, and thank you for your interest! I have the opportunity to provide you with a brief overview of my academic credentials, my successful teaching and tutoring experience.
I am an awesome experienced teacher with 37 years of experience. I graduated from University of Houston located in Houston, Texas, with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. I also graduated from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie, Texas, in Prairie with a masters of education in administration and supervision. In order to provide my diverse students with the best instructional strategies for developing math concepts, I attended many classes and sessions at the University of Texas (Dana Center for Improving Instruction for Math and Science) in Austin, TX, Rice University (RUMPUS Math Summer Program) in Houston, TX, and the University of Houston (MODULE Math Program) in Houston, TX. I have also provided many presentations and staff development to teachers for providing the best instructional strategies for teaching mathematics across the United States.
Working together to achieve the extraordinary is my slogan for student success. With this drive to help students succeed, I provide multiple approaches, with the use of manipulatives, drawings, an interactive math computer program, a unique problem solving strategy and step by step procedure to help improve student success with math problem solving. Students begin to keep organized notes of step by step problem solving procedures for math problem solving with examples of targeted math problems. Soon, my students gain confidence as they grow and progress to achieve success in math during class and on assessments.
I am looking forward to meeting and working with you.
