My philosophy of education is that any child can learn and be a lifelong learner. It is my responsibility to aid the child in the learning process, and make him/her a successful lifelong learner.
All students have different strengths in various intelligences which make them successful. It is my responsibility to teach and aid the student in using a variety of methods to reach the intelligence they have.
Every child is unique and has a wealth of personal knowledge and perspective. I believe I must help them attain their maximum potential using their unique strengths and working to improve upon their unique weaknesses.
I enjoy talking to students and communicating information to influence their behavior. I have a California Multiple Subject Teacher's Credential, and for fifteen years, I visited hundreds of classrooms filled with dozens of cultures. I listened to their point of view and used a direct, action-oriented approach to get results. My goal is to create a sense of urgency and to quickly adapt to any changes needed. I work very well under pressure and definitely like new activities and variety.
I have the advantage of being a unique window of opportunity in the child's development, helping him/her get the best possible results on a subject regardless of ethnic, cultural, linguistic, or socioeconomic background or disability. In today's multicultural society, I am professionally and morally responsible to use my unique talents to nurture the capabilities of each child. Children are priceless! They deserve the best!
