About the Tutor:
One of my passions is to be able to help young people overcoming their academic struggles and achieving their educational goals. As I was once a student, I understand these challenges very well and would like the opportunity to assist you.
In my own academic journey, which includes four years at Scripps Ranch High School and two college degrees, I have experienced most levels of math and excelled in each one of them. I would like to use what I have learned to help students overcoming and mastering this important subject. If you are looking for someone with a strong math background and a passion to teach, I would be an excellent candidate. My preference is to work with high school students.
My Tutoring Philosophy:
There is a difference between a teacher and a tutor. A good tutor is akin to a superbly knowledgeable study buddy. From my experience, the most effective way to tutor someone is to build rapport or connection with this person. She is looking for a smart friend who will assist her in her academic journey and not an authoritative teacher who treats her like a student in his classroom. As your tutor, I will apply this principle.
