Hi!

I am a recent college graduate who has spent the past 12 years studying Mandarin. I started when I was 11 years old and studied throughout Middle School, High School and College. I have spent a summer abroad and immersed myself in the Chinese Culture. As well as studying the language, I have also focused on the Chinese culture (including literature, film, politics). I understand the struggles of making the transition from English to Mandarin and have learned useful study tools to become a fluent speaker.

Study Skills

I attended a private school from 2000-2008 that worked closely with teaching students proper study skills. This included organization, test taking and note taking. I was assisted by "academic support" teachers to learn how to keep my academics organized and raise my test scores. I used these skills throughout college to continuously make the Dean's List.

Chinese

I have studied Mandarin in middle school, high school and college. I studied abroad in Nanjing, China as well. I have taken language lessons as well as studying Chinese culture, politics, film and literature.
